Last weekend George had an extra exciting outing on the Waimakariri River. He met Richie McCaw who was out in his boat with Todd Blackadder. George's dad and Richie had a race and George's boat won by about five metres!
By the way - if Wai means water in Māori and makariri means cold, what do you think the water in the river would have been like if they had fallen in?
