Today we wrote poems in groups. We went outside with our whiteboards and noticed our environment. Next we came back inside and organised our lines into a poem. In words we have painted the scene after the rain - and before the snow...
Worms squashed in the muddy puddles.
Orange flags flap a Stay Off the Grass message.
Leaves fall in the puddles while the breeze is cold.
Fintan, Tom, Louie
The seagulls screech in the sky.
The sun rises very bright and shiny after the rain.
A little breeze blows, ruffling the surface of the puddles.
Finn, Alfie, George
There are drowned worms squashed in the water on the ground.
The seagulls are screeching and squawking in the sky.
The breeze rushes against our faces as the warm sun shines.
Tatsumi, Hamish, Max
See children stomping on the swampy grass.
The sun shines like sunflowers in the cold breeze.
The sun flashes in my eyes like disco lights.
Isla, Sienna, Willow
The seagulls squawk through the air.
A worm lies swished and drowned on the cold, wet concrete.
Our reflections lie in the rippling puddles.
The gentle wind whistles through the school gate.
Tekken, Hugo, Ethan
The worms on the cold concrete look like squashed noodles.
A cold breeze makes the wet-grass flags flap.
The sun shines in people’s eyes making them squint.
Emily, Arozo, Aisha
The sun is shining like disco lights.
All the worms on the ground get squished when stomping feet come past.
The wind is cool and fresh.
The orange flag is waving in the wind saying, “Stop!”
Eva, Phoebe, MIllie, Lucy
