Community Cloth

Today we went to the hall after lunch to make our contribution to the community tapa cloth. We had looked at some examples in class before we went. We realised that they looked like tessellations and often had the elements of flip, twist and slide (reflection, rotation and translation) we learned about last term.

It seemed strange to make a beautiful design and then screw it up but that was how we made the paper look like tapa cloth. Thanks Mrs Craig for organising this fun activity to set our learning about The Arts on fire!
