Quality Work

Even though not much has been happening on the blog this week, we have been busy as usual in Room 17 haven't we?
Today we had an great discussion about how we can tell whether our illustrations are good quality work or not. We decided on these criteria:

  • people  will have solid bodies, arms and legs with hands and feet
  • facial expressions will match the words or ideas we are showing
  • details will be included: clothing, background, foreground, jewellery etc
  • everything in the illustration will make sense to the audience
  • suitable colours will have been used
  • colouring in has no gaps and stays within the boundaries
If you have worked on all these things then you will feel proud of your work and be pleased to show it to ANYONE. That is usually the truest test of whether your work is good quality work or not.
